Dr. Charlene Lotz DMA
Director of Music for Children’s Opera Theatre and Community Engagement
Charlene Lotz is an active performer and sought-after collaborator based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Her students often garner top prizes in competitions and have been admitted to prestigious universities and conservatories around the country. During her tenure as Head of Music at Fort Worth Opera and Music Director for their Children’s Opera Theater program, she was the Music Director and pianist for several opera premieres, including the premiere of Zorro by Héctor Armienta and Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World by Joe Illick and Mark Campbell. Charlene holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Texas Christian University, and currently serves as Music Director for Fort Worth Opera’s COT and Civic Impact program.
